About Me

Hi. My name is Kimberly. I live in Sydney Australia, in a wonderfully inclusive and diverse community called Wentworth Point.

I moved to Sydney from regional Australia where I used to live on acreage. I now live in a one bedroom apartment. I work as Training and Engagement Manager in an important area of social and workplace inclusion. I have always been interested in radio, sound engineering and tech pursuits. I became a licenced amateur in 2008 and shortly after upgraded to full call. (Advanced Amateur Operators Certificate of Proficiency). I used to have many antennas including a 3 element Stepir when I lived on a large lot.

Living as I do now, I don't work HF but I intend to change that sometime towards the end of 2016. I presently mainly work 2m and 70cm. I look forward to doing more club and club contest working, as that will be my main opportunity for DX. I will also be doing a heap more portable work and maybe even some SOTA activations.

I am a member of the following clubs

I am waiting to see if my application to ALARA will be accepted.
I hope to also work some D-Star, IRLP and EchoLink
